Czech Tourism to conduct a series of presentations in India

Czech Republic Tourist Authority (CRTA) plans to hold road shows in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata in February, 2011. CRTA has planned a series of promotional activities in India for promoting the destination.  A contingent of delegates comprising of Czech travel agents, tour operators and hoteliers will participate in the road shows. Radka Neumannova, Director – India, Czech Republic Tourist Authority announced CRTA’s plans for India at a presentation on Czech Tourism for the travel trade in New Delhi in presence of Miloslav Stasek, Ambassador of Czech Republic to India. 

Radka informed that CRTA is going to organise a similar presentation in Mumbai on December 13, 2010 & that CRTA plans to focus on tapping the MICE market in India and will organise a MICE specific presentation in Mumbai and New Delhi in the third quartet next year.

She also informed that Czech Republic is a treasure trove of historical sites and tourists can walk through European history in various towns and cities. “The country has 12 UNESCO recognised historical monuments, 200 castles and Chateaux, 2,000 historical sites and monuments and 40 protected historical towns. Apart from there are 37 spa centres, 80 golf course and four National Parks. We have excellent MICE facilities and offer attractive options for spa and wellness and active and experiential holidays,” said Radka.

Ms. Radka also said that Czech Republic witnessed 15000 Indian arrivals between January to November this year and Czech Tourism is hoping to increase the numbers through the various promotional activities planned for the Indian market.
