Czech Art & Glass showroom inaugurated in Mumbai

Czech Republic also opens a newly established Honorary Consulate in the commercial capital of India

Czech Design, a world known symbol for both original and innovative trends in fine arts as well as industrial production, makes an integral part of contemporary Czech lifestyle and culture. To increase event further a trade relation between India and the Czech Republic, art and glass design will be another segment to forge the growing business ties.

Opening of the permanent showroom in Mumbai as well is another step to present Czech Republic as an attractive tourist destination. On this occasion Deputy Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic also opened a newly established Honorary Consulate in Mumbai.

The Czech Art showroom was opened on 16th of April 2012 at Elegant Marbles Galleria, Raghuvansh Mills Compound, Senapati Bapat Marg in Mumbai. The evening was honored by presence of Mr. K. Shivaji, Principal Secretary of Industry; Ministry for Industry, Ports, Employment and Self-employment of Maharashtra, to confirm the importance of the Indian – Czech relations.

The opening was followed by a musical performance of singer Shaan, it also welcomed the other bollywood celebrities such as Mr. Sunil Shetty, Mrs. Hema Malani and Mrs. Tina Ambani.   

During the last decade the importance of trade and relations between the Czech Republic and India has been steadily growing. As a result many Indian companies are currently investing in the Czech Republic and the Czech Republic is becoming as well a popular tourist destination. Presenting attractive Czech Design products into Indian market and brings as well a positive image of the destination closer to Indian trade and consumers.
