To meet the requirement for sustainable and inclusive growth, passenger facilitation and to elicit the view of stakeholders on issues that are predominantly economic, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has set up the Civil Aviation Economic Advisory Council (CAEAC) under the Chairmanship of the Secretary of Civil Aviation. The first meeting of this Council is being held today in New Delhi in the presence of Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel.
The Members of the Council include CEOs of all scheduled domestic airlines; CEOs/CMDs of Airports Authority of India (AAI); Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL); Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL); representatives of Industry Association – Federation of Indian Airlines (FAI); Association of Private Airport Operators (APAO); Confederation of Indian Industry (CII); Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, (FICCI); Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM); Aviation Services Industry; Air Cargo Agents Association of India; representatives of Consumer Forum; representatives from Economic Research bodies; representative from International Air Transport Association (IATA); Aviation Experts; Legal, Cost and Chartered accounting professionals; President, Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI); Director General of Civil Aviation and the Economic Advisor, Ministry of Civil Aviation.
