Chattisgarh Govt to organise Rajyotsava annual celebration to promote state

An Investors’ Meet will also be organised on November 1 at Raipur; Mana-Tuta tourist Centre and Purkhauti Muktangan are being developed as attractions

To mark the formation of Chattisgarh State, the State Government has decided to organise, from this year, 'Rajyotsava' - the state's annual celebration. It will be held on November 1 at Raipur this year.

On this occasion an Investors’ Meet will also be organised. A large number of people are expected to converge in New Raipur area. Mana-Tuta tourist Centre and Purkhauti Muktangan are being developed in the area to add attraction to new capital area.

Tourism, Culture and Public Works Minister Brijmohan Agarwal instructed officials of the Tourism and Culture department to take help of New Raipur Development Authority to develop these two centres in accordance with the work plan and complete the work positively  by October end.

Agrawal first visited Mana-Tuta tourist centre and asked the contractor to speed up landscaping work going on there. He also asked the officials to construct both the entry points to the tourist centre in a grand style based on the art and culture of Chhattisgarh.

He also asked the officials to repair the road and also carry out fensing work. He also visited the cottages constructed at Mana-Tuta tourist centre and asked to complete their painting work just after end of Monsoon as per a report in Daily Pioneer.

On this occasion officials informed that a suitable proposal has been sent to the Central government seeking adequate fund for the development of Mana-Tuta tourist centre. During the visit of Purkhauti Muktangan Agrawal instructed officials to complete the construction of the stage  latest by October end.

In this part of Purkhauti Muktangan sculptures based on various folk dances of Chhattisgarh have been installed. Agrawal asked the officials to make arrangement for suitable lighting and sound system based on Chhattisgarh folk songs for this part of the Manch so that the dancing sculptures look like living creatures to the visitors.
