For the benefit of tourists, the Chandigarh administration has decided to set up a tourism kiosk at the Capitol Complex, Sector 1. Tourists visiting the Capitol Complex have to take permission, which at present is issued from the UT secretariat. For the convenience of tourists, the tourism department will deploy staff at the kiosk for issuing the passes.
Giving details, UT finance secretary VK Singh said majority of people were not even aware from where the pass was issued. He further said that the decision was for facilitating tourists.
Designed by Le Corbusier, Capitol Complex has three main buildings namely secretariat, legislative assembly and high court.
