Goa government has availed Rs 52 crore as central financial assistance for promoting tourism in the state, said tourism minister Dilip Parulekar in written reply to assembly.
He also said that Goa is not lagging behind in availing central financial assistance for promoting tourism. "State has availed Rs 52 crore in the form of central assistance for taking up projects for promotion of tourism in the state and balance Rs 38 crore approximately is expected after completion of the projects", said Parulekar
State government had also engaged the consultant for preparing detail project report for sustainable development of tourism in the state for getting more central assistance and to promote tourism in big way.
"Government had engaged Lotus Environment as consultant for preparing detailed project reports and to identity various new schemes/projects for sustainable development of tourism in the state", said Parulekar.
