Goa's electricity department has planned infrastructure upgradation by investing Rs 100 crore in the state's touristic Calangute-Baga coastal belt to cease the frequent power cuts in the area.
Addressing mediapersons here, state Power Minister Aleixo Sequira said the tourism belt in North Goa has been facing power problems due to infrastructural issues and the department is actively working to resolve the problem.
He conceded that the electricity line between Nagoa and Mapusa has overburdened, resulting in power shortage.
