Bulgaria woos Indian travellers with presentation seminar at Mumbai

It has a population of 7.4 million people and receive about 7 million foreign tourists annually, however receive only about 3000 tourist from India

With an endeavour to introduce Bulgaria to the Indian Market, the Commercial and Economic Office of Bulgaria to India, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria has organised a presentation seminar in Mumbai in Association with WTC-Mumbai,  Qatar Airways and All India Association of Industries. 

The presentation was attended by the senior members of the travel trade and was well received with variety of options that Bulgaria has to offer. 

Bulgaria offers diversity in Culture and Heritage, World of Shopping including local and international brands, International Cuisine including Indian food, Vivid Nightlife including discotheques, casinos, beach parties (Sunny Beach) etc., Spa & Wellness- Bulgaria being no. 1 in Europe for its Hot Springs and Mineral Water with healing and cosmetic properties, Golf, Skiing and many more. Bulgaria’s famous rose oil from the Rose Valley used in the perfumery industry by the most famous brands and for special spa procedures, Bulgarian variety of wines and Bulgarian yogurt are among the unique products that every tourist must experience and enjoy in the country. 

During the presentation, Mr. Stefan Ionkov, Head of Commercial & Economic office, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria also announced that they will conduct several Familiarization trips to Bulgaria for the Travel Trade and Media next year. 

He also informed that Bulgaria will host the World Match Play Championship of Golf next year with the special participation of Tiger Woods, Rory Mcilroy, etc. This tournament will be staged at the stunning Black Sea Golf resort of Thracian Cliffs, which is also considered as the “Pebble Beach of Europe” and according to its designer Gary Player will become one of the top 3 golf resorts on the planet.
