Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts has launched Xtraordinary Travel Consultants (XTC) programme for Indian travel agents. For the same, it recently conducted road shows in Mumbai and New Delhi for the first time. The programme was launched worldwide on February 22, 2010 and is designed to recognise, incentivise and engage top-producing travel agents. The travel agents can pursue the programme only on invitation basis. The programme on www.banyantree.com/xtc will allow agents to undertake training modules to enhance their knowledge on the properties and its offerings, receive specific information on developments at the property, as well as allow the company to track productivity of the agents and accordingly reward them. The company will adopt a three-pronged strategy for the Indian market focusing on strategic relationship with the travel trade, clear pricing policy and adopting the Indian travellers nuances and requirements.
