The State- run oil companies, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), yesterday hiked jet fuel prices by 3.6 per cent to Rs 46,876.58 per kilolitre, making it the fifth increase in rates since October this year when international crude oil prices started rising.
Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) rates in Delhi have been hiked by Rs 1,636.58 per kilolitre, or 3.6 per cent, while Rs 47084.40 per kilolitre in Mumbai, as against Rs 45,379.62 per kilolitre. In Kolkata, the ATF price has been hiked by Rs 1,731.84 to Rs 54183.98 per kilolitre, while in Chennai it will cost Rs 50269.99 per kilolitre as against Rs 48,496.70 per kilolitre.
