Plans are set to develop the beach at Thummallapenta in Kavali mandal as tourism spot at an estimated cost of Rs 3.77 crores.

Principal secretary for tourism, Ms Chandana Khan has disclosed this during a visit to Thummalapenta along with Kavali legislator, Beeda Masthan Rao on Thursday.

She directed the officials concerned to make some modifications to the plans prepared already and start the works as soon as possible. Referring to the beach located close to Kavali and national highway, she said that the beach can be developed similar to RK Beach in Visakapatnam. She added that funds allocation is not a problem to the proposal.
