In a statement given by Andhra Pradesh Minister of State for Tourism, Sultan Ahmed, it has listed the Central Financial Assistance that were given to the various State Governments in the year 2011-12.
The development, promotion and implementation of tourism infrastructure projects although primarily the responsibility of the respective State Government/Union Territory (UT) Administration, the Ministry of Tourism provides Central Financial Assistance (CFA) for tourism infrastructure development projects identified in consultation with them, subject to availability of funds, inter-se-priority and adherence to Scheme Guidelines.
It had granted Rs 437.4 lakhs for the development of tourism infrastructure at Warangal Fort and another Rs 500 lakhs for the mounting of Sound and Light show at the same place.
Further, list was provided that was identified by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh for Central Financial Assistance during 2012-13. It included the Vizag Beach Circuit and Pileru. The circuits Araku-Jwalakhut-Machkund and Paderu-Chintapally-Narsipatnam-Etikoppaka-Kondakarla were also a part of it.
Kakinada Beach Park, Vodurevu Beach Destination - Prakasham and Eco Tourism in Srisailam Sanctuary were floated to be part of it as destinations.
Sea Cruise Terminal at Vizag, Tourist Train to Araku and Aqua Marine park at Vishakhapatnam were part of the large revenue generating projects.
