Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has agreed to allocate an additional Rs 10 crore to the tourism department for a promotional campaign. He also directed the department officials to find out ways and means to develop tourism into a revenue-earning sector.
The budget for the tourism department for 2011-12 is Rs 52 crore. Talking to the media after a review meeting chaired by the chief minister, tourism minister Vatti Vasant Kumar said that they had decided to develop 150 acres of land in Nagarjuna Sagar area into a theme park on the lines of Brindavan Gardens of Mysore.
