Action plan of J-K for developing tourism in 3 areas

The financial year 2012-13 plans for execution of development projects aimed at enhancing the tourism infrastructure in Kokernag, Kishtwar and Aharbal Development Authorities.

Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved an action plan of Rs 5.25 crore for these areas. It was unanimously approved at the Governing Body meetings of the three tourist destinations chaired by Tourism Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora here yesterday, an official spokesman said.

He said Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned for Kokernag Development Authority, Rs 1.25 crore for Kishtwar Development Authority and Rs 1 crore for Aharbal Development Authority.

The spokesman said the Minister directed the concerned officers to complete all the ongoing projects within the stipulated time frame and while taking care of quality and aesthetic character of tourism infrastructure according to the wishes of tourists at National and International level.
