Sarinah, a Jakarta state-owned department store, is all set to get an all female directorship for its $ 10.6 million hotel said newly appointed president director of Sarinah, Mira Amahorseya. The hotel would be built in Bandung’s historic shopping street, Jl. Braga, in order to be an attractive option for people wanting to stay in Bandung.
“We have decided to enter the hospitality sector because this is the most suitable business for Sarinah’s expansion,” Mira told on Friday. “We expect the hotel to open in early 2014.”
She said there was a lot to do with 2012 about to end soon. With her new team, which consists of three more women, she is optimistic that they can contribute a great deal to the business of the company.
They also plan to polish its old mall after finishing the construction of the Bandung hotel, which will require more than Rp 1 trillion in investment.
