The JW Marriott brand has officially opened the 72-storey JW Marriott Marquis Dubai - which acquired the title of the tallest hotel from Guinness World Records in the world - on Tuesday.
Soaring at 355 metres, the hotel is just 26 metres shorter than New York City's famed Empire State Building, Gulf News reported. In addition to serving luxury business travellers, the hotel - owned by Emirates Group - targets the lucrative and increasingly important MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) market by filling a long-identified gap in the region.
